For the Ask Arlo community forum
The Ask Arlo community is a place for veterinary professionals to discuss AI in practice, clinical workflows and practice management. A few clear rules keep it useful, safe and kind. Posting here means you agree to these guidelines and to our Terms of Service.
1. No identifiable patient data
Never post information that could identify a patient or client: names, owner contact details, microchip or passport numbers, addresses, or anything similar. Describe cases in general terms only. Posts that contain identifiers are blocked automatically and may be removed. This protects client confidentiality and keeps the forum lawful.
2. Advisory, not clinical direction
Discussion here is peer conversation, not a directive and not a substitute for your own clinical judgement, your practice's protocols, or a referral. Nothing posted by the community or by Ask Arlo overrides the responsibility of the treating vet. Verify anything you intend to act on against a primary source.
3. The clinical area is for verified vets
The clinical area is open to verified vets only. To take part, submit your RCVS registration number from the clinical area and a moderator will confirm your status. The practice and product areas are open to all members.
4. Be respectful
Treat colleagues with courtesy. No harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights. Disagree with the argument, not the person.
5. No spam or covert promotion
Do not post spam, repetitive content, or undisclosed commercial promotion. Sharing a genuinely useful resource is welcome; using the forum as an advertising channel is not.
6. Moderation and reporting
Use the report link on any thread or reply to flag content to the moderators. We may remove content, lock threads, or suspend accounts that breach these guidelines. We aim to be fair and proportionate, and to favour a light touch, but the safety of the community and of patients comes first.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Askarlo (Raidical Ltd) a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it within the service. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
